As inspiration I’m drawn to the idea of future memories. As if I’m grappling for a feeling. Using imagery to convey a border that’s hard to define. I constantly remind myself of what Nikola Tesla said, “If you want to find the secrets of the universe think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.” Can I use his secret to create art?

The idea that everything is made up of the same elements is intriguing. I’m interested in the fabric of reality being geometric in nature. I use geometry and landscapes hopefully creating portals into altered reality, this is what I believe art if for, creating portals.

I use maps, books, graph paper, rulers, compasses, and copy machines as my tools.

My process is to work in series.

I strive for the right balance between pragmatism and intuition.

Thinking and feeling.

Craft and gut.

I never know exactly what direction my art will lead me but I hope to tap something universal, a memory; past, present, future.
